e-ELECTION STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL UniSZA
USING RULE-BASED
Malaysia is a democracy country that public have right to vote their leader through an election. Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) also use an election to find student representative. Student representative election is held once in one academic year. There are 10 faculties in UniSZA. UniSZA also have 4 campuses that are Besut campus, Gong Badak campus, Perubatan campus and Kuala Lumpur campus. Each faculty need 1 general representative and 2 faculty representatives. General Representatives will became high position in student representative council. High position in student representative council is president, deputy president 1, deputy president 2, general secretary, Gong Badak Campus vice president, Perubatan Campus vice president, Besut Campus vice president, secretary 1, secretary 2 , treasurer, head of student affairs. Faculty representatives will became executive committee in student representative council. There are 8 executive committee (exco) such as clubs, associations and secretariat exco, welfare, safety and health exco, student development and volunteerism exco, communication and multimedia exco, entrepreneurship and marketability of graduates exco, sport, culture and unity exco, spirituality and personal development exco, and academic and student placement exco.
This proposed of the project is to develop an electronic voting which this system for student representative council election. Electronic voting system promises benefit in terms of ease of use (Ronald L., 2002). The advantages of electronic election is avoid error during ballot placing and others technical mistakes. Ballot mistake will not being calculated during manual election and will be a loss to election. Moreover, tabulation data of election also advantages by using electronic election. It simply can show graph data about election. |
